Lawsuits have recently been filed in California after three men claim their e-cigarettes had exploded during use. According to the suits, the e-cigarettes along with their components, are unsafe because companies are failing to warn people of the dangers. What happens is if the e-cigarette is charged at the wrong voltage, the device will become overheated and can explode. Since the e-cigarette business is still rather new, the industry is still pretty much unregulated so the usual safeguards for consumers are not in place.
