Our first major snowstorm of 2017 is here. New Jersey is expected to get slammed with a lot of snow, especially here in Jersey City. According to the weather forecast, we may get as much as a foot of snow by the end of the day. Yikes!
Snow always make traveling difficult. Even just walking down the street can be treacherous. It’s also a good time for us to remind you about slip and fall injuries and what you should do after the accident.

- First things first, get medical treatment immediately following the fall. Only a doctor can tell you how bad the accident really was.
- Make a record of the incident, especially when it’s still fresh in your mind. If you can, try to get photographs of the scene.
- In your record, make sure you mention the circumstances that led to your fall. For instance, was it snowing out? Were the stairs covered in snow? Did the stairs need repair? Again, this is something you want to do as soon as possible before your memory fails.
