So what you really want to ask and find out is how much experience does the lawyer that you want to hire have in connection with a similar case that you’re bringing before them. So if it’s something that’s different or new and the attorney doesn’t have that much experience handling that matter then you might want to kind of look elsewhere to find somebody who has the correct experience.
It’s similar to a physician who is going to operate on you. You don’t want to go to a surgeon who has never done the surgery before and to be the first person to have that surgery and perform that surgery on. So it’s the same thing with an injury attorney. You want to find out that the injury attorney has the experience, has the knowledge, has tried those cases and has been successful handling those cases.
I will tell you this. My firm has been doing personal injury work for 33 years. And we still learn every day. There is new law that comes out that we are made aware of. There’s something new that comes out that we didn’t hear before.
I was mentioning to my staff yesterday, we have a case that came out with this new Turo app. Well, we didn’t even know what this Turo app was, and that’s brand new app. So I’m doing this for 33 years and I learned something yesterday, which is the greatest thing about what I do is because every day, the law is evolving and changing.
So really, what you want to want to do is you want to make sure that the lawyer that you hire is an experienced lawyer who has handled these cases.
