Weather Changes Increases Risks of Pedestrian Accidents

Winter brings its share of weather related accidents. However, the advent of spring poses other potential risks and hazards. Pedestrian traffic multiplies on such Jersey City streets as Kennedy Boulevard and Grove Street. Some even hop on their bicycles to couple exercise with a means of transportation. After the return of blood toxicology reports, it was determined that the Hummer’s driver was operating the car while under the influence of alcohol. Due to the serious nature of his injuries, the bicyclist died two days after the accident. Criminal charges against the Hummer’s operator include vehicular homicide. Neither a guilty plea nor verdict will make up for the loss of human life.
